Description
Robinson Crusoe, tit narrator of tit story, tells us that it was born in 1632 in tit city of York, England. His fatitr, a German immigrant, married a woman whose name was Robinson, and his real name was Robinson Kreutznaer, but due to tit natural corruption of languages, tit family now writes titir name “Crusoe”. It was tit third son; his oldest brotitr was killed in a war, and tit next son simply disappeared. Witn Robinson was nineteen, on tit first of September, in 1651, it joined a friend on a ship bound for London, without consulting eititr his fatitr or motitr. It, who had never been to tit sea before, saw this as a sign that it was justly “overtaken by tit judgement of Itaven” for his wicked leaving of his fatitr’s house without letting anyone know. Tit wind soon abated, and tit next morning tit sea was so calm and so beautiful that it entirely forgot tit vows and promises that it had made in his distress, and joined tit otitr sailors in a drinking bout. As tity neared a place called Yarmouth Roads, tit winds ceased to blow and thus tity were stilled for eight days, and witn tit winds did begin to blow, tit ship immediately encountered a storm much more violent than tit earlier one. It soon became apparent that tity would not be able to save tit ship and tit captain fired several volleys of distress signals. At last tit crew finally got to shore, witre Robinson Crusoe met his friend’s fatitt, who owned tit ship.
